| How to learn the Stick |
Even though there are no Stick classes in music colleges or conservatories yet, that does not mean that there are no sources for studying how to play the Stick. Here are some that I highly recommend: |
Stick Instructional Materials |
Video lessons by Bob Culbertson: three VHS tapes by levels - beginners, intermediate and advanced. Studying with Bob's video tapes is a lot of fun! You will feel like you are really sitting in the classroom together with Bob, taking a private lesson from him. The lessons are very well organized by topics. Bob explains the material with a lot of patience and illustrates it perfectly by playing the Stick together with a drum player. The VHS's can be ordered at the Stick Enterprises http://www.stick.com/instruction/videos/lessonsonstick/
